Our Mission at Little Zion Baptist Church
REACH THEM...
The lost and unchurched in our area. People are lost in sin. They are dead in trespasses and sin. Clearly the Bible teaches that "the wages of sin is death" and that means separation from God, in hell forever. If we do not reach them who will? It is not the calling of civic clubs, fraternities, and sororities to teach them. It is our calling. It is the Church's calling.
TEACH THEM ...
Our goal is to build people. Teach them to become disciples and servants. Pour the Word of God into the people we reach. We are to do this through the Sunday school, the Pulpit, and by the example of our daily living. This is the way we teach them the inspired Word of God. Through the Word of God we resist the devil. Through the Word of God faith is made strong. It is our responsibility to grow up ourselves and then help others grow up in the Christian faith.
KEEP THEM...
People will not stay where they are not wanted. We are to keep them through ministry and meeting needs. When we refuse to offer a helping hand to our fellow Christians we say in effect, "We do not want you." People need prayer, encouragement, fellowship, and sympathy. If you help somebody up a hill, you will make it up the hill yourself.
We are appealing to the entire church family to embrace as our mission...
REACH THEM, TEACH THEM, AND KEEP THEM. Everything we do as a church should involve our mission statement of REACHING, TEACHING, AND KEEPING.
